Community Cakes provides cakes for those in our community who may be otherwise forgotten on their birthday. We think everyone deserves a cake. Our list of partner facilities can be found here.

Valentine's for Community Heroes

This is an annual project that Community Cakes started in 2011. Each year we choose a community hero to provide treats for on Valentine's Day.

2026 Recipients

Providing community members with access to bicycles and the skills to maintain them through education, hands‑on repair opportunities, and inclusive support. It works to empower people of all ages to experience mobility, connection, and independence by removing barriers to cycling.

Providing at-risk youth with the tools and resources needed to successfully transition into adulthood through education, mentorship, and work-skills training.

Provides transformative human rights education to thousands of learners of all ages in Idaho and beyond through programs and resources that build on the ideas inspired by the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • 5 different fire department locations in Boise and Meridian

  • 4 different paramedic/fire department locations, Garden City Police station

  • Valentine’s For Veteran’s (Boise Veteran’s Home)

While we do our best to spread joy through baking to as many recipients as possible, Community Cakes is unable to provide cakes directly to recipients outside of our partner network. If you know someone who is in need of a cake, please review our list of partners to see if they may be receiving one.
